2020 World is a Classroom Scholarship Essay Contest Winner Announced

The SYTA Youth Foundation is pleased to announce the winners and finalists of the 2020 World is a Classroom Scholarship Essay Contest.

Congratulations, Micah Hill a Freshman from Laure High School in Mississippi, for being the 2020 World is a Classroom Scholarship Essay Contest winner. Micah will receive $1,500 USD toward her college education. Read or watch her essay “The Humidity On My Skin.”

The other top four essay entries will receive a cash scholarship of $1,000 USD.

The SYTA Youth Foundation offers World Is A Classroom Essay Contest scholarships each year to students who use their creativity to compose an article or speech that illustrates a student travel experience. Students who write an essay describing what they learned and how they were impacted by travel could earn a scholarship of up to $1,500.00 USD.

Formed in the year 2000, the SYTA Youth Foundation is the 501(c)(3) philanthropic sister organization of the Student & Youth Travel Association (SYTA). SYTA Youth Foundation’s mission is to provide travel experiences for youth and students who would otherwise not have the resources to participate in those enriching and life-changing opportunities.
